How Southern Conservation Trust Protects Natural Areas
* Accepts land donations, manages and enhances conservation property for water quality, wildlife habitat, environmental education and passive recreation
* Holds Conservation Easements – voluntary legal agreement to permanently preserve land for public benefit while offering landowners financial benefits such as deductions to income, property and estate taxes
* Builds support for greenspace protection through community educational programs and presentations on local nature at our conservation properties and in our Nature Center
How the Trust Protects Nature in Your Community
* Informs communities, local government and landowners in the Southern Crescent about the benefits and tools to protect greenspace as our region develops
* Works with property owners who wish to preserve their land’s natural beauty through a conservation easement
* Partnering with Chattahoochee Hill Country Conservancy in a Pilot Study to protect 3 special properties in rural South Fulton
